Undergraduate:
Registration and admission to the undergraduate programme in Fisheries will be as per rules prescribed by Faculty of Biological science, University of Dhaka. To be competent for admission in these programme applicants must have(with 4th subject) total GPA 8.50(individual minimum GPA 3.50)in SSCand HSC examinations or its equivalent in Science discipline.Applicants must have Biology in HSC/equivalent level exam. MS programme:
Students will be admitted to the MS programme in Department of Fisheries under the Faculty of Biological Sciences as per the existing rules of the university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the scale of 4 in four-year BS (Honours) examinations. However, department may re-fix the minimum CGPA requirements to a higher level and get approved as such by the authorities. Students must be admitted to MS programme within two academic years of completion of BS (Honours) programme.
MPhil:
The department offers two years (First year- Theoretical and second year- Thesis) MPhil programme as per the existing rules and criteria of the University of Dhaka. The admission criteria and guideline is found in the university website (https://du.ac.bd/home/MPhil_students).
PhD:
The department offers PhD programme as per the existing rules and regulations of the University. The applicant must have at least two research articles in the reputed journal. To enroll in PhD programme, the candidate has to apply through the PhD supervisor. International Students:
Applications are to be submitted in triplicate to the Ministry of Education, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in prescribed form through the Bangladesh diplomatic mission in the country of domicile of the candidate or his/her country’s diplomatic mission in Bangladesh. All certificates and transcripts need to be notarized by an authorized official of the Foreign Ministry of the candidate’s own country without which no application will be entertained.
